AMCH pharmacology department involved in Medicine undergraduate training successfully from 2011. The department is well equipped with Experimental pharmacology Lab, CAL lab, Clinical pharmacology lab, Museum with crude drugs, history of medicine.

Experimental pharmacology lab is well equipped with instruments for screening CNS drugs. And also fulfills the norms given by NMC guidelines.

CAL lab is established as per recent NMC norms with 15 computers with software for screening various drugs on simulated animation.

Research lab well equipped with instruments for screening CNS activities, inflammation, MAZE,CVS drugs on Lab animals. We also have spectrometry and flame photometry quantitative analysis if biological samples.

We also have a collaborated central skill lab for various training with mannequin.

Our animal house facility is approved by CPCSEA , is well spaced to hold Rabbits, Rat, Mouse, Guinea pig , Zebra fish, we also have Institutional Animal ethics committee, for conducting research on experimental animals as per standard regulation.

Now we have got permission from NMC for admitting two MD post graduates per year (from 2022). We have developed well balanced teaching program for our post graduates, their training includes basic and core pharmacology, Industrial training on clinical research, BABE studies, Pharmacovigilance, Therapeutic drug monitoring, Management of Medication, Prescription audits, Drug inform services, Medical education technology etc. So that they will be well equipped to face the future needs from pharmacologist in various fields of healthcare.
