        Description : Interventional cardiology is sub field of cardiology, its history dates as early as 1711 when the first equine biventricular catheterisation was done. In 1929 Forssman did a dramatic right heart self-catheterisation. Coronary arteries catheterisation was done by Sones in 1958.Percutaneous femoral angiography was done by Judkin’s & Amplatz in 1967. In 1970 balloon angioplasty was first performed by Gruentzigs, followed by inventions of numerous latest panoply of devices & methods to catheterise the coronary arteries.
        All these are time tested, lifesaving procedures, a boon to mankind, as they have decreased the morbidity and mortality to a great level.
        For the success of any interventional cardiac procedures the knowledge of clinical anatomy of thorax is very essential. So clinical anatomy in interventional cardiology is discussed elobarately with related embryological significance in e- CME under webinar series, which enlightened the delegates.

Primary Amyloidosis is common in developed countries in old age. Secondary Amyloidosis commonly seen in developing countries due to many chronic diseases like Tuberculosis. He concluded that genetic and molecular pattern will be the future trend in targeted , chemotherapy and organ transplantation.

Every day, we receive cases of injuries in OPD, casualty etc where the Medical Officer faces lots of challenges in correctly identifying and documenting the injuries. If not properly identified, it may lead to improper judgment. By examining the injuries we can derive various medico-legal parameters like weapon causing the injury, age of injury, site of impact, direction of force, manner, etc which will help to draft a proper injury certificate. In this webinar the speaker highlighted the common errors done while identifying and describing injuries by giving various case histories. He showed many pictures of injuries and described how to correctly identify and document them.

He also stressed upon Rights of Dead, which are usually ignored.
