DEPARTMENT

  • Human anatomy is one of the fundamental basic science of medicine concerned with the study and description of human body structures. Anatomy department is located in a serene environment in the ground floor of college block of Annapoorana medical college & Hospital. The department comprises of divisions like dissection hall, histology laboratory, museum, departmental library, research laboratory and demonstration rooms. All are well equipped with excellent teaching materials and audio visual aids. Dissection hall is a spacious, well ventilated area, equipped with adequate cold storage unit, preservation tanks, cadavers, prosected specimens, disarticulated bones and colored charts for dissection and learning purpose. Histology laboratory is well equipped with microscopes, histology slides and color histology charts. Museum has good number of wet & dry specimens, models, charts, X-rays, X-ray view boxes and articulated skeletons.
