VISION:
The Vision of the Department of Radiology at the
Annapoorna Medical College and Hospital is to provide the best service and to
play a major and vital role in the education of patients, students, trainees,
healthcare providers, healthcare administrators, conveying the important and
critical function that Medical Imaging and image-guided therapy serves in
improving the outcomes and advancing the care of patients.
MISSION:
The Mission of the Department of Radiology at the
Annapoorna Medical College and Hospital is to provide compassionate, caring,
and high quality Medical Imaging and image-guided therapy services to improve
the quality of life for our patients and their families in a cost-efficient, less
invasive and safe manner,
Objectives:
To achieve excellence in radiology diagnostics and
intervention procedures. To provide quality service to all. To achieve
excellence in education and to keep ensure adequate and complete solution to
disease problems in a comprehensive manner.
Infrastructure:
Our radiology department is situated in the ground
floor and has adequate infrastructure according to MCI norms.

Courses handled:
We teach radiology to MBBS, allied heath students
and postgraduates.
Facilities:
The department has a separate library, separate
teaching class room and discussion room. Separate rooms for all the faculties
and students available.
Academic activities:
Research activities are regularly done in our
department. We have regular jounrnal publications every year. Interdepartment
discussions are a routine in our department.
Services:
Diagnostic services like, Xray, ultrasound, Doppler,
CT, MRI, are provided. Our department functions 24hours. Interventional
radiology procedures like percutaneous nephrostomy, percutaneous biliary
drainage, biopsies, percutaneous embolisations are performed.
